Minimize To Desktop (Winkey + D) crashes Explorer

Hello,

A couple of days ago I started experiencing issues with Fences where whenever I Minimize To Desktop (ribbon-button at the bottom right corner) or use the Winkey + D shortcut, Explorer would crash and then restart shortly. Interestingly enough, it is happening only every second time.

Windows Event Viewer is showing ntdll.dll in WINDOWS/System32 as a failing module, however the moment I disable Fences, the Minimize To Desktop function and the shortcut work with no issues. I turn it back on – starts crashing again.

System: Windows 10 Enterprise, 20H2, build 19042.1949

Fences: Version 4.0.7.2

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Thank you,

Hello Basj,

I followed the purge instructions you provided - ran the .bat file, rebooted after the purge, reinstalled, and rebooted again. Unfortunately, the issue remains.
