Fences will stop working in 7 days

Hi I installed fences on another computer, 1 license.

I had issues with my network connection between the 2 computers (nothing to do with fences) and whilst I was setting up the firewall (update) I noticed a message popped up on my other computer saying "Fences will stop working in 7 days". I then realised I was using both computers at the same time which was not intended.

Can someone please explain what will happen as I don't want to have to go through having to reinstall / setup again.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you only have one license for Fences 4 than you will need to purchase another one for that other system. That "Fences will stop working in 7 days" might be running on 30 days trial license. You just need to input in the new license key for it to continue to work before the 7 days expires. I believe the setting will be save as long as you don't uninstall Fences 4 with remove setting option selected. You can also backup your saved layout snapshots setting using this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#backupsnapshots

Hi

Thank you for replying.

I purchased Fences 29th January this year, 6 months ago.

I downloaded the software to install on my other computer on the 9th August, 2 days ago, and understood rightly or wrongly that I could use it on 1 active computer hence my saying "I then realised I was using both computers at the same time which was not intended".

Please explain why "Fences will stop working in 7 days" came up on the computer I installed it on 6 months ago?

Hi

I think I have worked it out.

I ran both computers again.

The "Fences will stop working in 7 days" that came up on the screen ( the message disappeared before I had chance to look at it the first time ) mentions about activating my computer (A) and deactivating Fences on my other computer (B). Which I did so I hope it all keeps going now.
