Last Update corrupted my restart function

On Monday, July 18, I received the notification that an update was available. I clicked to install it and when it had run, it said a restart was required.  So, I started the restart and the system hung. I did a hard shutdown and rebooted, only to be told that Windows could not be reloaded.  I cycled a couple of more times and somehow, the system was about to restart.  Today, July 24, I decided to restart and this time it took an hour to restart, but it did restart.  I decided to uninstall Start11 on the possibility that the update had been corrupted and was affecting the system's ability to start up.  The restart after uninstalling worked fine and I've been able to restart normally a couple of times.

I'd like to reinstall Start11, but don't want the same problem.  Can I download the most current install package from the Stardock site?

Windows Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.778)

Reboot after the download , test and report back please.

Thanks.  I downloaded and installed the latest version.  The reboot took a bit longer, but worked just fine.  Unless, a subsequent reboot hangs, I'd say we handled it.

I was wondering whether anyone else reported a problem with the automatic download/install.

Hi RGP,

I have not seen this issue posted on the forums or in support tickets. Do you restart your computer of a regular basis? If not there might have also been other items updating on that reboot as well.
