Can't switch from secondary to primary

I bought Multiplicity a few years ago when I had a Windows 7 and a Windows 10 notebooks.

I set up Multiplicity as primary on the Windows 7 and it was working fine. Then the Win 10 notebook broke and I didn’t replace it for a while.

Now I have a Windows 11 notebook and I installed Multiplicity on it but on the Windows 7 Multiplicity has switched to secondary (by itself) and I can’t make it primary anymore. I tried to purge it and reinstall it as explained in a forum post.
I tried to disable the AVG antivirus and the ZoneAlarm firewall but it won’t switch to primary.

Can you please help me on this?
