Taskbar icons (and running programs) disappearing after opening Start11

Hi there.

I am facing weird behavior since last update.

 

Once I open Start11 everything on taskbar disappears, only date/time is visible. When I hover mouse over the taskbar, icons get visible again (but only those which I hover on).  When I uninstall Start11 this behavior is gone and everything is OK. Once I reinstall it again, same issue.

Also in Start11 settings it states that "You already have something else managing your taskbar buttons so this cannot be enabled until that is disabled". But I have no other program managing taskbar installed.

Any thoughts on this?

I don't think it's similar. I am facing issues with missing taskbar stuff when Start11 pops up.

Anyhow I have no other programs managing taskbar installed.

 

What should I do?

Are you using an insider release of Windows 11 and perhaps something called explorerpatcher too?

I uninstalled explorerpatcher few months ago (and it was not present in Programs/Features), but looks like the uninstall didn't go well as the "dxgi.dll" was still present in C:\windows. So I manually unregistered it, deleted the DLL and after restarting Explorer the issue is gone :-)
