Can I hold CTRL + open a file to open it UNgrouped, if my settings are to normally open as grouped?

Groupy has the settings option to:

"Group newly opened windows if the Ctrl key is held down whilst opening them"

My Groupy is set to automatically group all new windows of the same program type.

However, sometimes I want to open a file of the same type UN-grouped, on a second screen. I know I can hold shift and manually move that tab out of the group, and onto the second screen, but I want to know if there is a way to just open a file UN-grouped by holding down a hotkey or something.

example: I like my text documents to open grouped automatically, however, sometimes I want to open specific docs UN-grouped on a separate screen so I can compare them both at the same time. Is there a special key press or something that I can do to open those  specific documents UN-grouped, while keeping the setting to automatically open them grouped when not pressed?
