When I try to run Object Desktop I get "Problem Setting Up Automatic Updates" error

I've tried reloading Object Desktop with a fresh download but I'm still getting:

   Problem Setting Up Automatic Updates

Sorry, unable to setup automatic update checks. Please try again. If it fails again, you may run Object Desktop manually to retrieve updates until the issue is resolved.

This happens whether I use a .lnk or the .exe file

I'm running Win 10 21H2 19044.1706

on a Dell 15" 5000 series laptop with

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz   2.60 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Object Desktop Manager (ODM) sometimes have server issue. If you have issue with ODM, it is best to do direct download all your product from your product account page : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. ODM sometimes have server issue.

Hello basj,

Thank you for the reply.

Is the ODM server issue at my end or Stardock's end?  Since ODM works on my other systems I'm wondering how it's a server issue at all.

As for the downloads I know how to get them. but it's just nice to be able to use the ODM.

Not really sure why if it work on your other systems and not on the other one. Might need to see what is running or not running between those systems that might blocking ODM. Anyway, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Thanks
