"..restrictions in effect on this computer.."

I have not been able to install any Stardock software since the update to "Fences 3.10" (my version of "Fences", which is currently running on my computer, is version 3.09.11). I get the error message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." This my own personal computer, so I am the Administrator... No matter what Stardock software I try to install ("Object Desktop" or one of its 22 standalone software modules) I get the same error message.

I can install other mfr's software just  fine -- but not Stardock software.

I have gone the "Google" route, and tried many of the suggestions found there, to no avail.

Any suggestions??

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Are you running ARM base CPU?

Thanks

Intel Core i7. And, this is a well-beat-upon computer that I have had for several years and many different Stardock products. This just seemed to pop up out of the blue...

And, I just now tried to install "Object Desktop" on my new (less than 2 months old) windows computer (Intel Core i9)....with the same result.

Curiouser and curiouser....

I want to thank you. That link was the link that I needed. I went into the registry and deleted the entry that the link told me to and I was then able to install the Stardock software. I appreciate your help, thank you again.
