Hi, 

Here is what my desktop looks like when I use the laptop's monitor:

And this is the desktop when I connect my laptop to external monitor:

 

My question is : 

Is it possible to keep the arrange as I use the laptop's monitor

Hello,

One question, does your laptop and external monitor is having same resolutions? If not, I think it is best to create 2 layout snapshots one for each monitor and load layout when which ever you connect.
