Feature Request - Search Aliases
I would like to be able to specify aliases which would be translated both literally/directly as well as other terms. For example, "wow" would also search for "World of Warcraft" and integrate those results in effect showing me the combined result of two different search terms. Another example would be "vs" searching for "vs" as well as "Visual Studio" and so on.
I rarely like to pin things as I prefer to flow with the keyboard. Ideally, I would be able to hit the windows key > enter one or two characters to start a search > hit enter to activate the first returned result making starting an app literally 1 or 2 seconds tops vs the 3-5 to open the menu, visually scan, move the mouse, and click.
There would probably be a performance warning as this would slow down results. However, with super fast disks these days it should be fine for high-end power users. Even so, I would see the need for a natural limit maybe somewhere in the range of 3-5 terms max per alias. In trying to anticipate which alias is being used, I would prefer for them all to be used in a "starts with" configuration.
Going from an earlier example, entering "w" would start a literal "w" search in addition to my "wow" alias. This would let me effectively perform single letter expansions. The utility in entering the full alias in the search bar would be to trim results and ensure the proper alias was used, perhaps showing an option for "matching aliases" on a full match letting you narrow down results to only the alias term.
In an extreme case where you had several aliases with similar beginning characters, you could display a warning in the search result along the lines of "'w' matches 4 aliases and is causing 10 search terms to be used. Performance may be slow."
