Fences folder portals disappear

from Stardock Forums

Hello,

My stardock fence is not working. As soon as I create a folder portal on the desktop of my PC (1 pc windows 10 pro and 1 pc windows 11 pro) the windows disappear after a few hours of use. I purchased 2 licenses and cannot use them. Please tell me what is wrong or refund me. thank you for your comeback

Someone can help me ?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Need to know Windows version numbers for both of your Windows 10 and Windows 11 system. Use Windows "Winver.exe" to get those.
  2. Fences version installed.
  3. Those missing Portal Fences link to internal or external drive? Clouds?

Folder are based on onedrive on my and already upload on local system.

I never have any problems since 4 years...

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

If I had to guess, this is that OneDrive is losing connection or your mapping to a drive that loses contact to ?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Is the portal fences link that gone missing are the same linked folders on both of your Windows 11 and Windows 10? And this happen only recently on both Fences v4 and Fences v3?

So this only effect specific folders on your OneDrive on both V4 and V3. Any special things on this folders? Special characters use on its name or special items that might need special permission to access it?

Also side note : Please do not use your email address as your user name. Please change it to something else.
