Start11 Uninstaller Does Not Work Properly

Start 11 Uninstaller Does Not Work Properly

After experiencing a disappearing start button and a taskbar that would not move from the top of the screen back to the bottom despite applying changes to Start11 preferences, I tried to uninstall your Start11 software.  Unfortunately, your uninstaller did NOT restore the OS to the pre-Start11 installation sate:

* The taskbar remained at the top of the screen

* The start button remained left-justified

* The size of the taskbar was not restored to the original size (it remained "small")

I'm not sending screenshots as they are pointless in this case (please don't reflexively ask for them):  they would display a small taskbar at the top of the screen with the start menu left-justified (the state after software uninstallation).  This is what your software is designed to do and a picture would provide no additional technical information needed to fix the problem.

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22000.613]

Start11 installer is latest version (I'm not reinstalling the software to provide the version number as I've already run the uninstaller).  I downloaded the installer within the past three days.

Is that version of Start11 1.22 beta ?

No, I'm not running your beta version.  It is version "1.2."

Why isn't the "Purge_StartALL" file digitally signed?

Many have with excellent results .

I believe the intention of the uninstaller was to provide a way to soft reset functions of start 11 while also keeping settings saved. I will agree that there should be an easier complete uninstall feature. The purge feature does help, but I would also argue that it could use a touch up as there are still some residual files left behind even when using the purge.

There is no need to use it at all as I can point to the location of the residual files in the registry and they can be manually deleted.

They are located here

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8
