Not fully Uninstalled

Taskbar aligned at top after uninstall

I recently installed the trial version. Today I uninstalled it. The first attempt resulted in an error that said a file was in use, so I aborted the uninstall, rebooted my computer and successfully uninstalled it.

However, the task bar on my main menu is still aligned at the top of the screen. Other settings such as the color and transparency are gone, but I don't know how to realign the task bar to the bottom.

Stardock or Start11 no longer appear in the start menu or on the control panel uninstall list of apps.

What do I do?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can try reinstall it. Reboot after the install. Change the taskbar back to the bottom. Disable Start11 within Start11. Uninstall Start11. Reboot.

Thanks

This is not working. When I change the position to the bottom, nothing happened. The setting showed align bottom, but the taskbar is still at the top. So I rebooted, the taskbar is still at the top, the setting changed back to align top. One of the other settings came back too, which I had previously disabled, the  taskbar size reverted back to large, I had changed it back to medium and it stayed that way until my second reboot. So after to settings changes, to reboots, the taskbar remains at the top. I haven't uninstalled it because I'm pretty sure it will stay there like it did before.

It seems to me the alignment setting is not working.

Please try purge steps as mention here : [Link]. Reboot after the purge. Retest and report back here.

Has this been tested on Win11?

If you are running Windows 8/10, you may be notified that Windows is protecting your PC.  Select "More info" and then "Run anyway".

When uninstalling did you pick the remove all my settings option?

Yes I did.

I did notice that when running the .bat file there were some errors about unable to remove missing registry records.

After getting no response from anyone on this form for several days, I've finally resolved this.

I was able to finally uninstall this app without the leftover affects of the settings. I had hopes it would be a cool addition, but I was not impressed by the program and especially the uninstall process. It has caused me a week of aggravation.

I will not recommend this to anyone who asks.

I am sorry you experienced problems.

I think the problem was you set a setting which is not provided by Start11 directly which means it wasn't reset on uninstall.  All the settings which require Start11 to be installed would naturally turn off after uninstall but the taskbar on top did not.

The uninstall is supposed to zap those settings as well if you ask the uninstaller to remove your settings, but clearly it wasn't for you for some reason.
