Start11 Task Bar Transparency Stopped Working

Not working with latest Windows11 update KB5007297 22581.1 ni_release

Problem started as a result of installing the latest Windows11 update KB5007297 22581.1 ni_release.

Switching default colors setting off and on did not fix.

Switching pattern setting on and off did not fix.

Changing transparency percentage did not fix.

Restarting explorer did not fix.

Rebooting Windows did not fix.

This was previously sporadic on a second monitor but was correctable.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Can you post your full version numbers. Use Windows own "Winver.exe" to get it full version numbers. Also Start11 version please.

Thanks

I am afraid you are using a dev/beta channel insider release of Windows 11 which we do not offer formal support for.

It is known that transparency control over the taskbar is not supported on that version of Windows at this time along with some other related issues relating to colour and textures on the taskbar.  We are investigating this for the future, but cannot promise if we will be able to support this in the future or not at this time.

It is important to use the 1.16 beta (or newer) version of Start11 on that OS however or you will have no clock on the right hand side.
