Issue with Taskbar setting

Positioning of Taskbar not correct for dual monitors

There appears to be an issue with taskbar positioning when the Start 11 menu is setup on two accounts on same PC (in Windows 10) with dual monitors. Both accounts have the taskbar position set to "Position the taskbar buttons in the center of the taskbar". However, when you sign out of one account and sign in another, the taskbar is left aligned and cannot be reset in the center on the main monitor. Interestingly. the taskbar setting is correctly aligned on the secondary monitor. In order to get the taskbar to align properly, the PC needs to be re-started.

Could you please fix this issue?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I just test this out and I have no issue on this. Upon first log into my second account. My Start button is on the left with the rest of pin apps next to it. But, Start11 ask me if I wanted my Startbutton to be in the center. Once I press yes. It centered itself. And now I am back on my main account. This one too in the Center.

Would like to suggest to do a purge and reinstall and see if that help.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Already did that and it does not work.

What version of Windows 10 you have on? Please use Winver.exe to get Windows full version numbers. Something like screenshot below.

As for your issue, please try cleanboot as mention here : https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#cleanboot. Also are you using the latest Start11 Beta 1.17? : https://forums.stardock.com/510929

No not using beta.

I changed my email and your system has not applied it nor have I received any email for verification of the new email account. What is going on? I check junk and spam folders and nothing received.

It appears your system does not communicate with outlook.com.

Please raise a support ticket using the link below. Include all information details there and Support will help you from there. Remember to record down the ticket number for future reference if needed. Do not raise multiple ticket since that will only confuse the system. Send once and wait. Ticket will be answer on first come first serve bases.

Your suggested fixes do not work. One of the accounts has to be left justified.

I don't know if this is a dual monitor issue.

If I have two accounts with centered taskbars, and log out of one account and log in to the other account, that accounts taskbar is left justified on the main monitor. It is center justified on the secondary monitor.

You can purge all you want, the issue is multiple monitors.

Explain to me what is going on with my account and why can't I change my email?

I am on dual monitors too and I don't see your issue on mine. And I do have another admin account for occasional testing on things here. And both account have center start button on both monitors on both account. Is it possible if you have install any other 3rd part application which also alter Start buttons too?

No don't think so. Right now I'm getting the run around by Stardock regarding changing my email. I've contacted support and they are giving me that same bullsh*t on changing my password that does not work.

I do not have any 3rd party apps that are altering the Start button. What would those be?

The issue is still with the Start 11 Version 1.2. One account the taskbar is centered and the other it is left justified even if it is set to center.

How to I retain my settings for each account so that I don't have to re-configure again?

It's been over four months. I have not heard anything with this recurring issue with the Taskbar not staying center aligned across two accounts where both have the taskbar centered. I have dual monitors and the taskbar will set correctly for both accounts but when the system restarts, the taskbar is left aligned. This has not been addressed by Stardock. I am using version 1.25 and the same issue remains from version 1.1.

Hello again,

I am also on Windows 10 and still I can't see the issue on my system. I am also on dual monitors setup. So would like to suggest, if you have not try it yet:-

  1. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
  2. If that is done and you still have same issue, Please try Cleanboot : https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#cleanboot.

Try those and report back.

I have done all that as it was recommended four months ago. The result is still the same. I am not going to redo Windows another time.

That issue existed even after I had a clean Windows install with no other apps installed.

Just to show you what I have on my system. Can you post a screenshot of what you have on your screen.
