Another Start 11 not centering.

Hello,

I have:

Start 11 ver 1.11

Curtains ver 1.19.1

Windows 10 Ver 21H2

When I launch windows with Start 11 the taskbar icons and start button do not center. However, if I go into task manager and end the explorer process and then run explorer again from the run menu then the task bar centers as expected.

 

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I don't have anything else that is messing with the taskbar outside of Curtains as far as I know.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Just want to be clear here. You are asking me to purge "Curtains"... for a Start 11 problem? If so can you please tell me what you think curtains may be doing with Start 11? Wouldn't it be better to just disable Curtains entirely and see if it solves the problem?

So. With the assumption that the curtains software was the issue, I disabled the curtains service and rebooted. Ok. That proved to be the culprit after rebooting start11 centered it. However, I did not purge anything. Rather I re-enabled the service, rebooted, and now it works fine.

 

I hope this might be helpful information to anyone else before they purge and possibly start from scratch with all of their settings.
