windows xp behaviour??

right i dont know exactly if you can do this or not as am not that much of a wiz at computers but here goes
on windows Xp when you put a background on the icon writing text box goes the same colour as the background but what i want to do is do that on windows ME as i cant find how to do it hope you people can help and know what i mean

I think I know...

Right-click on the desktop and select 'Properties.' Then click the 'Desktop' tab at the top. Now, in the bottom right hand quadrant, you will see a box that says 'Color.' Click it and select a color for the Icon text. (I believe Black is transaprent)

Right-click on My Computers on select Properties. Go to the Advanced tab and click on the Settings button in the Performance group. In that dialog, there is a box with a bunch of settings. Scroll down until you see "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" and uncheck it. That'll fix it for you.

geez dude, ever consider a little punctuation in your posts? 

i think you are asking about the desktop icons on me but who can be sure since you run all your sentences together the answers you have so far are for xp and i hope that is what you want because if not maybe you could be a little more clear with your questions next time periods commas and capital in the correct places go a long way in being understood if you know what i mean
