Sluggish, Buggy, Etc Unusable

Tons of bugs that annoy me:

Main issue: Desktop Pages just feels so laggy and clunky. Dragging icons always results in a super non smooth icon trail. Moving an icon can have anywhere from 100-1000 ms delay. (Seems to just get worse and worse its getting almost unusable at this point.)

2nd issue: sometimes when trying to drag icons if I left click and drag an empty space on my desktop it grabs an icon on a completely different desktop page.

3rd issue: If you drag an icon to a location on the edge of the screen and have any of the icon over the edge when you let go the icon is placed in some random location in the middle of the screen.

I only uses fences for the desktop pages and wish I could continue.

I purged, rebooted, reinstalled, the reorganized my icons.
(Even though I have only had this installed for about 1-2 weeks))

No improvement.
Well it had improvement until I actually started to put my icons on the pages I wanted them.
All issues are present again.

From my experience I've came to the conclusion that Fences is simply incapable of handling a lot of icons.
>200 icons and you will have 100-200 ms doing anything
>280 icons you will 200-800 ms delay doing anything
>320 Simply unusable

I wanted desktop pages so I could actually use them to organize stuff but from what i've seen any decent amount of icons causes unacceptable lag.

That's a lot of icons on the desktop and even without Fences, there would be performance hits at that high level.

What we recommend (and what I do myself) for such high icon count is to actually have most \ all the icons actually off the desktop and in other locations on the local drive (not network).

For example, I have these folder created in MyDocs:

It seems that fences 4 doesn't fix the problem that 3 has on Windows 11.

Maybe the only reason for shipping fences 4 is to get rid of fences 3 users' bug fix request:|

The folder portal does tend to function a bit faster in general and is my personal main use of fences.

For actual Icons I actually prefer start 11. Personally, I use the Windows 11 theme which allows the same page function that fences has and it handles and organizes icons pretty well.
