I cannot install Groupy in a custom directory

I tried to install groupy and follow the instructions.  The installer ask you where do you want to install.  The browse and the text for the directory is greyed out.  Not accessible.

How can I install in a custom directory.

Groupy needs to be installed in the default C: drive

This is because it requires certain permissions which are only granted if run from a secure location.  Program files is the only secure location accepted by the OS by default.  Making another folder and giving it admin only write access would not produce the same results either.

Quite why the installer is asking that I don't know as given it isn't allowed the installer should be skipping past that page.  I will raise that internally.

I won't be able to install it.  I worked for a company that gives some flexibility, but it closes some other areas.

The program files directory is semi open.  I might be install it, but I had some issues with some other software, that prevents me to have all functionality.  It does not allow me to uninstall so I rather not even try, just in case something goes wrong.

I really like it a lot. It helps me be productive.

Than it is best to work with your it department to allow Groupy to be install in its default directory. As mentioned above Groupy will not work properly if install in not default directory.
