Fences crashes when addin a folder portal

I have just upgraded to Fences 4 and now the application crashes when adding a folder portal with error message in the image below.

There were no issues with Fences 3 !

I cannot re-eneble Fences until I restore an earlier back up.

I have used the "purge fences" app, rebooted and reinstalled but this does not help.

Please assist.
