The biggest benefit between KVM vs Pro for a home user is going to be the direct access your main PC has with your 3 laptops. It can control the 3 laptops from your main computer without having to get up which is cool. Other then that pro mostly offers better security for an office setting. So KVM will likely be all that you need, it depends on if you want that one extra feature and if it fits well into your budget.

Disclaimer: This is just a general comparison, with some of your compatibility questions a developer will give better advise. However, stardock also seems to be good at issuing refunds when wrong purchases are made.

In addition to what Phoenix has said, control is one way: Primary to Secodnary.  Secondary PCs cannot control Primaries.

"Secondary PCs cannot control Primaries" is possible when switching in the settings.

the problem we now have in the studio is that it is not possible to watch when the voiceover laptop is logged in with rdp and the workstation studio in the mixing room.

the second workstation manager in the mix room manages 2 servers. D voiceover laptop is also used on location now with rdp to the administration..

now everything is done with rdp that looking with help is not possible.
