Groups disappeared

Set up Start11 because I was underwhelmed by Windows 11's start menu. Spent a lot of time organising items into groups on a Windows 10 style menu. But somewhere in the registration process for Start 11 all those groups and icons disappeared. Is there a way to get them back, or am I doomed to create them again? And what did I do that caused this - so I can avoid doing it again? Is it a side effect of trying different menu options out - and if so, why should it ?

Its hard to say what might have happened.

You can back up your Start setting by exporting the following key from your registry:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8

OK. As long as people are aware this has happened in case others experience it. I do wonder if selecting a different style might have erased it... in which case it's unwanted behaviour. A backup option would help, although I will go export that key now, thanks.
