Can't Uninstall Fences

I want to uninstall Fences 2 & Fences 3 and reinstall because I'm having an issue with not being able to move any desktop icons.  Unfortunately the uninstall process in Control Panel is not working for Fences.    My OS is Windows 10.  If I can't uninstall Fences from Control Panel or from the Stardock folder, select Fences and right click to uninstall how can I uninstall the program?

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

not sure what you mean 2 and 3 ... 2 PC's ?

You want to install the latest Fences version 4 ?

 

Did you check on your Desktop right-click to View and down

to Lock Fences if that's checked un check it and then you can

move the Fences with Icons . ( is That what you want to do ) ?

I can move my Fences with icons however I can't move individual icons on my desktop from within a fence or outside a fence.  I want to uninstall fences and reinstall.  Yes I checked to make sure the lock feature of fences was NOT enabled/checked.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do you have 360 Total Security installed in your system. Or any other security software which introduce its own desktop organizer utility which might conflicting with Fences.

I do not.  I use Trendmicro for virus protection.

Did you try it shutting down Trendmicro first ?

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.
