Start11 Menu

Start menu does not show all the files and folders

Start11 start menu does not show all the files and folders in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu. I even turned on the "Show app list in start menu" and "Start menu should open showing all programs list" in the advanced configuration to no avail.  Windows 11 menu shows all the files and folders.

Is there some setting I need to set?

Can you give an example of what is missing?

Start11 menu does not show the following folders:

  •   - Startup
  •   - Startup-Disabled - This is a folder I created and placed under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

These folders have files under them.

I assume that Start11 would show all the folders and files under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, including those created by the user.

Are you referring to adding ProgData as a custom location?

The snapshots you provided is for Start10. I'm using Start11.

I'm referring to the folders and files under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

For some reason, Start11 start menu does not show all the files and folders in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu. I even turned on the "Show app list in start menu" and "Start menu should open showing all programs list" in the advanced configuration to no avail.  Windows 11 menu shows all the files and folders.

ProgramData is not an app location, however, you can add it (just as in Start10) as a custom location and all their file contents:
