I just bought and installed Start11 on a fresh install of Windows 11. I went with this one because classic shell didnt work right. Come to find out this one dont either. If I use the windows key, Start11 opens every single time without fail. But if I click the start button, it seems Start11 will load most times while the system is logging in and booting... but once I am in the OS, and everything is loaded. Start11 only opens rarely when clicked on. And I have tried uninstall and reinstall. Its most likely a bug. Any fixes for this? The app just did an update, and it didnt fix the issue either.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't see this issue on my system. May I know more on your system. Need to know :-

  1. Windows 11 version numbers. Please use Windows "Winver.exe" for full Windows version numbers.
  2. Start11 version installed?
  3. Do you have any other 3rd party application that changed taskbar or Start menu change installed? If you do have you try uninstall or undo any modification/hack that been done by those software and reboot. Than retest again.

Windows 11 Ver. 21996.1

Start11 Ver .095

And like I said above. I had classic shell installed... that one did the same thing. I removed it. And installed Start11. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Start 11. Also this is a new PC, with a New install (Asus Maximus XIII, Intel I9 8 Core 3.5 ghz, 32GB DDR4). I didn't upgrade from windows 10. The install is about 1 week old and haven't even had the time to hack anything.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Is it possible it might be your mouse issue? As a test, can you try another mouse and see if the issue still there.

Different mouse same problem. Also note... that I did say I first installed classic shell which is a free and it had the same problem as Start11. Thats why I bought Start11. Although classic shell worked fine in windows 10

That is why I am thinking there is something else is causing it. Maybe you can try the Cleanboot and see something else is blocking those click. Try these steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#cleanboot. Try it and report back.
