The official version of fences4 is released, do fences3 users need to re-purchase to use it?

Yes, Fences 4 is an upgrade not an update. So, from what I know, you will need to purchase a new license for Fences 4. Unless you have active Subscription on Object Desktop. than, it will be free.

Yes, Fences 4 will be available as a standalone product later. Usually when it become full release version product.

Thanks. I just came to ask this question before buying Fences 3. I see that it is better to wait for Fences 4 then.

One should mention the 'official' version is an alpha, far from ready. That is the reason, it is only available via OD yet.
