Windowblinds 10 is crashing chrome container when watching videos on Youtube

I have been using WindowBlinds 10 on and off for quite some time, but whenever I use it, inexplicable bugs come up.
These have caused me to uninstall and just... not use it.

Currently I'm having an issue where, regardless of the theme installed (Yes, i did check for "windows 10 ready") whenever I load a youtube video page, the entire window flashes 2 - 3 times, starting to play the video, before it sticks around and decides to work.

This is extremely annoying. I have tried adding chrome to the excluded applications list, and I've even tried going full send the other direction... fully skinning chrome with windowblinds. Neither approach fixed the problem. I have seen a few other posts around the internet with people having this problem, and for them, the solution was a "clean reinstall".

I  literally just installed this yesterday so this IS a clean install.

I also tried launching chrome with the windows 10 title bar features disabled. This also made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would really like to optimize my windows theme with a proper dark mode to get rid of all white title bars and theme components, as they're bad for my oled screens. Thanks for your time, hopefully someone has a solution for me.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you see if the Chrome add on is causing the issue? Run Chrome bare bone and see if the issue happen.

Thanks

Also what version of WindowBlinds does it say in the WB about box?

I don't understand why addons would matter if you have the entire application excluded.

an exclusion should be a full exclusion. WindowBlinds should be doing absolutely nothing with any component of chrome, if chrome is excluded.

Version info:

Windows 10 Pro 21H1 (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)

WindowBlinds 10.89 (064 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

        Wblind64.dll              2021/06/09 11:23:47

        Wbsrv.dll                2021/06/09 11:23:36

        WB10Config.exe            2021/06/09 11:23:00

Update: tried disabling extensions, no change with or without allowing WB10 to skin chrome.

What if you launch chrome with the ctrl key held down?

Please note you need to close all instances of chrome in Taskmanager first as it loves to hang around in the background.

I have chrome pinned to the task bar, ctrl+clicking it won't do anything, but i did try administrator mode, which also made no difference

The problem to this is chrome's hardware acceleration. I know I'm 2 years late but just turn off hardware acceleration. Yes, it's at a loss of a bit of performance but it makes it work. Anyway, goodbye!
