Any Update? Start 11 - Taskbar on the Left or Right of screen

Long time Start 10 user here, (and Start 11 on testbed for now). Can't imagine using Windows without it.
Can't find a clear answer to whether Start11 will eventually allow the Taskbar on the left (or right) side of the screen, ala W10. Is this even possible now? / has MS removed the code/registry settings from the OS that enable it? / is it on your to-do list?
I'm on 3840x1600 UW, and won't be moving to W11 as a daily driver until the functionality is returned. MS has (so far) basically ignored the mountain of complaints/requests on the Feedback Hub around this issue, so would love to hear your take on it.
(Already tried other tools/hacks but they break things/conflict with Start11, so no interest in pursuing that avenue)
