Lag on desktop?

I have the latest version of Fences installed on my laptop and my gaming PC. On my laptop the software works fine, while on my PC the desktop becomes laggy when fences is enabled. The lag appears in 3 situations:

1. When dragging an icon overtop of a fence

2. When placing an icon with the animations turned on

3. When showing/hiding fences by double clicking

4. When switching between desktop pages, though it is much less noticeable here

None of these issues are present on my laptop. The issue is unrelated to the number of icons, as deleting all shortcuts/icons on the desktop except for the Recycling Bin does not fix the issue. Deleting all the fences made and remaking them did not fix the issue. I've also purged and reinstalled the program as suggested in another thread from a couple years ago, but that did not fix the issue either. 

Any help would be appreciated. While this isn't a major issue, it is irritating to look at. If it matters, my gaming PC is running the latest version of Windows 10, while my laptop is running Windows 11.
