I cannot figure out how to allow showing recently used applications.

Also, some programs apps will pin to start and some will not.  Example, I tested with Paint, Microsoft Word, and a few installed games which it will pin above the Windows Menu.  However, I have a folder with the classic XP windows games as standalone and wanted to pin spider solitaire and that will not pin?  Guessing that is the difference in being an installed program/app and portable as it is the same with both Kaedrin's Launcher for Warhammer 2 and the XCOM 2 Alternative Mod Launcher as neither of those will pin also being portable rather than installed.  Bug or oversight?

NOTE: My last version of start was Start8 and used it under Windows 10 which did everything I needed.  Upgraded specifically to get that darned task bar from the bottom though I PREFER on my left sidewall of the monitor.  Under the preview version of 11 I could change registry to put task bar on left side, but changes there have been locked out.

Feature Request:  Please add in functionality to move taskbar to the sides as well as top.

To pin, I right click the executable and select pin.  It only pins if it is an installed program or app.  Portable does not pin.  Not that big of a deal as I have most pinned to taskbar adding them and then removing them to add something else, but I was hoping to have more space made available.

UPDATE:  When pinning a program to the start menu, it is not pinning as in the original screenshot, but I found where it is pinning.  Using the original style start menu like from XP/windows 7 it is pinning the programs to the top of the All Programs list rather than to start.
