New Fences builds not playing well with other programs

Ex. TranslucentTB & Startisback++

Ever since the infamous buggy version of Fences was pushed through on Steam back in August, there have been many issues running Fences on my computer, especially in regards to how it interacts with other desktop enhancing programs.

While Wallpaper Engine got most of the attention and all of those related issues have since been fixed for me, programs like TranslucentTB and Startisback++ have also made my desktop a bug-ridden nightmare. I had to uninstall Startisback++ due to having a constantly flickering desktop that was extremely slow, often flashed white, constantly refreshed, and would frequently minimize fullscreen programs. TransulcentTB technically does work with fences but every time an icon is moved around on the desktop, the ALT key on the keyboard is pressed, the desktop is refreshed, or my Fences are automatically or manually hidden/shown, then the entire taskbar will rapidly flicker and it gets extremely annoying quickly.

I'm currently running the Fences version 3.1.3.3 version through Steam and all of the above issues still take place. None of these issues occur when I uncheck "Enable Fences" in the Stardock Fences 3 settings configuration window under the "Home" tab. I've checked thoroughly and all signs point to Fences being the issue. After updating my Windows 10 and graphics drivers, all of these issues still stuck around.

I really hope these issues get sorted out soon because they're starting to drive me towards a full uninstall and I really don't want to go back to a messy desktop.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I think it is best to recommend to use Stardock's Start10 to replace those two application and resolve issues between Fences vs these applications.

Anyway, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Does Start10 let you change the transparency of the Windows 10 taskbar?

Also, it's kind of unfortunate to buy Start10 after I bought Startisback++ and then Stardock forced an update that broke Startisback++, forcing me to use Start10 instead...

Yes, refer to screenshot below. Also you can apply build in or your own texture onto your taskbar.
