Start10 - a compatibility issue with a secondary 4K TV display

Hello,

I have encountered an issue while running the latest version of the Start10 program. As a secondary display I am using a 4K Samsung Smart TV with 300% resolution scale turned on in the display settings, and the custom GUI skin just does not behave properly i.e. the Windows 7 start button won't scale up along with the rest of the interface and the Start Menu won't unfold all the way up. Any tips for solving this problem would be much appreciated.

Here is a link to a screenshot where the issue is present: https://i.imgur.com/FCRt1CZ.jpeg

Also one more thing: the custom cursor from CursorFX does not behave properly with the 300% resolution scale either, for some reason the abnormal size was not captured on the above screenshot, but on my screen it was twice as big or so.

Thank you in advance.

Hello, thank you for responding.

My Windows 10 version is 20H2 (OS Build 19042.1165). The version of Start10 is 1.97.

Also, yes. Everything works perfectly fine with 100% scaling.

So, is there any solution? 100% scaling makes UI look hardly noticeable on a 55 inch 4K TV. That's why Windows sets scaling on such displays to 300% by default.

End of Heltair's quote

At what scales does it start to fail - anything \ everything above 100%?

Hello,

After doing some testing, I can conclude that anything above 100% causes the Start Menu to not unfold all the way up. Custom Start buttons packaged with your software also seem to have been made with 100% scaling in mind, hence why their size remains the same when you set the scaling percentage to something greater than 100%.

CursorFX also does not behave properly at higher scaling options. As you can see in the GIF, the size of a cursor that came with the software is abnormally large, but when you hover over something it looks as if the cursor is trying to "scale down" to an appropriate size: https://i.ibb.co/B3M0ncC/ezgif-7-469c7f5c0d0a.gif (scaling percentage used here is 300%, by the way)
