Which skin are you having trouble with.... all of them, or one in particular?

It seems to haapen with all skins that I download, I get an error message that comes with XP. But if I right click on the skin than its works

Well if it is one in particular, alternate click on the download link, save target as (into a folder you use for that). Then if it needs extracting do that. you will come to a .wba folder eventually, click on that and it will file itself away. If you come to a folder with all the pieces, move the folder (intact) into t he windowblind folder with all the rest.

I had some trouble with a skin like that this morning and that is what I did.

Hmmmm... I don't know what might cause that. Are you an Object Desktop user, or is your WB stand-alone? Also have you checked to see if there are any updates?

I bet your wbload.exe is in the wrong place. What version? Trial or Registered? Did you upgrade recently?

I would suggest that you uninstall, reboot, then reinstall.

Also, the "Help" discussion board is a better place for this than the general area.

Yeah, I agree with KG. But, after the reboot, I would check the Program Files folder and make sure you got all of windowblinds erased. You may have different versions installed in different places. If you you used component Manager, it used the Object Desktop Folder, then SDC used the Stardock folder. I would make sure that every windowblind program folder is erased. And search for any wbload.exe files too.

I get this message when I install a new skin, wbload.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience
