Update deletes everything and keep getting reminder to update

Can I either get an update that doesn't remove all fences from my desktop, or the option to not get the window telling me to update everytime I start my computer?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. There were some issue reported here on recent updates and most of the resolved with a purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling and make sure to reboot immediately after install.

And if these does not resolve the update popup issue on your system, you can disable update check using this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#disableupdate.
