And try again, do you still get the error? If so, and you reboot and try after, do you still?

After a cold re-boot, i re-downloaded installer and got the same two error message boxes as in my original post. The installer says Fences 2. BTW, I also tried installing Fences 3 which is the version I have installed (3.0.9.11) and it gives me the same error message. BTW, I originally had Fences 2 bought separately, then I bought Object Workshop and installed Fences 3 with that. Fences 3 now only recognizes product code associated with Object Desktop and not original Fences 2 code. If any of that info may be useful in solving this problem. Thanks

OK, bottom line I think it got fixed BUT your software and its relationship with MS is seriously twisted. I ran the PURGE batch file as admin, the Dosbox looked like it worked ok but MS threw up an error saying it could not find the install file somewhere on C:. [I tried to save a screen shot of the error message but the whole screen went black and I could not see how to get back in the MS desktop...so I ALT-Ctrl and rebooted]. Rather than trying to re-install Fences since my Stardock account thinks I only have V2, I went into Object Desktop and installed Fences from there (current version 3 installed...that problem solved). But when I went into the MS Settings > Apps (to look to see if Fences was listed, previously it was not), I found two copies of WindowFX and WindowBlinds listed. I deleted the older dated copies and re-booted. On re-starting, back into Settings> Apps, the older dated copies are listed...can't explain that.
But for now the original problem seems to be fixed. Thanks for you help. But you guys need to work some more untwisting things.
