Hotkey passed to Primary from Secondary possible?

I use windows 10 built in virtual desktops. I would like to have my Multiplicity KVM instance full screened on one virtual desktop and then use the hotkey to change to another virtual desktop leaving KVM back on the other. Currently I have to leave KVM in windowed mode and click on the taskbar then activate my hotkey to switch. Any way to do this?
