Start10 1.97.1 Release Issue Report Thread

With the Start10 1.97.1 release, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.

Object Desktop members can get the release from within Object Desktop Manager

Reporting an issue

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and links included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Groupy does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Start10 1.97.1 Changelog

  • When run on Win11, UI will now tell the user it isn't supported and take them to Start11 information
  • A fix for menu scaling making the menu absurdly large until restart at higher DPIs
  • A workaround for a possible rare issue with trial prompts causing an explorer crash
  • ​A fix for the right hand side of the menu showing unusually large at higher DPIs
  • A workaround for the menu closing when opened sometimes on August 2021 patch of Windows 10.  This seems especially reproducible with a vertical taskbar and opening via the windows key
