Groupy Title Bar popping up on different virtual desktops

I have a "Toggl" page in the Chrome web browser as a tab within Groupy. The tab displays a timer that is counting up. Every few seconds or so, on another virtual desktop with no Groupy tabs active, the white "title" bar with all the tabs flashes in and out. It is intractable, meaning I can click on the tabs if I hit it during a brief mo 10.0.0.0.1 ment when it's on the  192.168.1.254 screen. Removing the Chrome tab with the updating timer stops this from happening, but it's pretty annoying since I group productivity apps together.
