Start10 1.9.7.0 Beta Issue Report Thread

With the Start10 1.9.7.0 beta release today, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.  

Obtaining the beta:

Object Desktop members can get the beta from within Object Desktop Manager with 'show beta downloads' enabled:

Individual purchases (as well as Object Desktop Members) can also be obtained from your account page:

Reporting an issue:

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)
  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive services (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube) and link included in your post.  Images can be directly added.
  • If there are specific apps that Groupy does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Start10 1.9.7.0 Changelog

  • Fix to work around a problem with start buttons having buttons go under them and potentially being made much less wide with that MS patch to add in the News and Weather link on the taskbar when that setting is set to be hidden.

Not sure if this is known but on latest update texture is not applied to the news and interest task bar area.

I just competed order/payment (via PayPal) but haven't received any download instructions. I did see a popup with a key code, which I copied (or thought so). Seems I didn't. Can someone check.

BTW, I recently had a computer meltdown and am in process of rebuilding. I have been a Start10 customer for some time (going back to Start8). So as not to waste my money, can I re-instate a former purchase - get a fresh download and key???
