I cannot stop explorer from adding new windows to old locked groups.

Please I need to fix this

Hi, I created two explorer groups with groupy and locked them both, I want to be able to open new explorer windows in tabs without touching those two groups and so I selected group all explorer windows together, I thought locking the groups would prevent any addition of tabs but It does not, when I open new explorer windows it keeps adding to one of those two. Please If any one can help solve this I would really appreciate it. Love the product and have been using it for a year now. thanks in advance. I will also add Images of my settings below.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Hi, I created two explorer groups with groupy and locked them both
End of quote

How do you actually locked it? Do you mean you saved that Explorer group?

If you have saved those Explorer group. Than you do not need to enable Explorer to be automatic grouping. You just need to open that saved group via the 3 dot menu on groupy. Refer to the screenshot below. The blue arrow for saving new group. The red arrow for opening saved group.

Thank you,

Sir, I think you misunderstood me, So let me explain better.

I work alot with windows explorer opening and closing alot of the time and things get messy,

so when I found groupy It was great.

What I did was create two Groups of 5 tabs each containing of my most used explorer windows and saved them as 1 and 2. these are the one's I was talking about previously.

What I want to do is keep opening and closing other explorer tabs in a third window (not saved) without actually affecting or touching the first two saved window groups.

Currently when I open a new explorer window it opens in one of the saved groups and I do not want that to happen. I want to open it in a seperate window and keep adding tabs to it also.

As with the locking I mentioned earlier you can see it when you click the three dot menu on top of "save group", I thought maybe locking  the group would prevent any addition of newly opened windows to the saved groups (1 or 2) but that doesn't seem to be the case. I googled it and found this, I do not know if the question has anything to do with the locking feature I just mentioned.

I hope you understand now. Thanks again.

Than, please delete "explorer.exe" from your automatic application groupings, as shown on your 3rd screenshot. That will stop your Explorer from automatically group with your opened Explorer windows.

It looks like Groupy is incorrectly not checking the locked status on a group when performing automatic grouping of new windows.

This is resolved for the next update.  Thanks for reporting it.
