Configurability outside gui

Hello,

 

I purchased Fences on Steam, which works really great and I am currently testing Groupy in trial mode if it fits my use case.

 

I have some questions:

1. is it possible to force specific groupy tabs color for specific application? I tried groupy with IntelliJ IDEA 2018.3.4 which has gray gui, but groupy tabs are white

2. Is it possible to change keybings from Ctrl+tab / ctrl+shift+tab to Ctrl+PgUp / Ctrl+PgDown like it is in browsers? I see only option to enable/disable keybind. Ctrl+shift+PgUp / Ctrl+shift+PgDown to move tabs like it is in Firefox doesn't seem to work too.

3. Is it possible configure groupy to close tab with middle mouse button like it is in browsers and other editors with tabs?  

4. I can't seem to make Groupy to work with "Scene builder" from Gluon. Groupy's option "Always Group All 'SceneBuilder.exe' window together" is checked, but pressing file->new in menu always creates new window. Opening scenebuilder from intellij opens it in new window too. I am 100 % that that application should be grouped. It works for windows file manager correctly and I see it in Settings->Application Grouping too.

5. is it possible to automatically group multiple types of apps together, after they are opened? For example, windows file explorer and filezilla. It seems like I can configure only one aplication to group automatically.

 

My question is, are all those options configurable by user? It doesn't need to be in GUI, config file would be ok.

 

I am using latest trial version 1.48, Windows 10 64-bit

Hello,

  1. There is no such option for Groupy, but, you can set to Groupy tabs to follow the application titlebar color. Only work on Compatible application such as MS Word/Powerpoint/Excel etc.
  2. I don't think that is possible in Groupy.
  3. I don't think that is possible in Groupy.
  4. I am not sure how Scene Builder work, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance.
  5. You can always turn on "Group newly opened windows if the Ctrl key is held down whilst opening them"

thanks for your quick reply.

Colors doesn't seem to match Word color too. This is what I see.

That's why I asked, if it is possible to override the color.

I like the amount of configurability from Fences, that seems to be missing in Groupy. But I still really like the program - it is so useful even in this current state, I will definitely reinstall it from Steam after my trial is over.

Not sure why you are not getting it. Here is mine. You might need to select that "Reset to automatic tab colors" option
