Updated Windows 10, search now broken, other unexpected behaviors

Hey all, title says most.

Additional info, I use Fences as well. Love the products.

Since the last Win10 update, I can't use Search in the start menu.

Issues that may or may not be related. I also can't right click on image files since this upgrade, nor open 3d Paint from the snipping tool interface. Maybe not related, but these issues presented at the same time. If others report similar, might be something to look into.

I tried disabling fences, but same result. Also worth noting it would be nice to have a one-click way to disable Start10 for troubleshooting, surprising that's not an out-of-the-box feature

You can disable Start10 by running Start10Tweak.exe from the Start10 folder and clicking on the button to unload Start10.

It sounds like you may have a broken Windows install based on the issues.

What happens when you type in the search box?

Thanks for the swift reply!

I'll try running Start10Tweak.exe , after I verify the issue how do I re-enable? If it's still an issue then, I'll probably see if I can roll back.

There is a button to restart or you can log out or restart the computer.

If you want to just stop Start10 starting with the PC then setting the Stardock Start10 service in services.msc to Manual will stop things (after a reboot) and you can set it back to automatic afterwards.
