Fences does not start

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

1. Windows full version numbers. Please use Winver.exe to get Windows full version numbers.
2. Fences versions.
3. Is your system in corporate environment? With websence / Forcepoint installed?
4. Have you tried, purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Dear Sir,

I tried 

- create a new user with administrator rights

- install Fences

- clean boot by changing parameters in msconfig. Keeping only Fences enabled.

- Reboot

However the result is the same. 

I tried with another PC which has Windows 7 installed. On that as well I get message as "Fences does not appear to be loaded. "

Do you have any local support in India who may take my machine online and help me resolve this?

I have the same problem. The software does not start and I cannot create fences. It is installed on a Windows 10 64 bit laptop. The Windows-Version is as follows:

Edition  Windows 10 Pro

Version 20H2

installed              ‎16.‎02.‎2021

build      19042.867

serial number     R9113LHS

Leistung              Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

 The antivirus software is sophos.

What do I have to do to fix that problem?

Have you done all the suggested steps I mentioned above?

Even after doing everything mentioned, I am unable to run Fences on my computer.

Can you try running by uninstalling all antivirus and/or security software and only use Windows defense for it. Reboot and retest.

Check if fences is activated in your explorer shell extensions. If for some reason (antivirus, etc) it is disabled you should enable it.

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't solve this problem. I had the same problem and checked with shellexview (www.nirsoft.net) and after enabling and simply restarting the explorer process, fences worked again.
