WindowFX hardware support won't enable

I had WindowFX 2.11 working very nicely on my ATI 9700. Then (Don't ask me why) I pressed the 'disable hardware support' button in the performance tab of the WindowFX config window.

The problem is that I can't now enable it again and WindowFX is running very very slowly. The performance tab says 'click the button below to enable hardware support' but the button is now completely missing. It's been removed from the dialog.

Anyone else seen this? Anyone know how to make WindowFX show the hardware support button again?

just a guess here but maybe a unnstall/restart/reinstall might work?

Panic over - Managed to fix it by enabling hardware wupport in the Rage tweak app.
