LogixDesigner not grouping

Hello all,

I'm able to get the typical applications such as Excel, Word, Firefox, etc. to group properly, but one application (which is why I wanted to try out and possibly purchase Groupy) will not. Even when I have "Force add new tab support for all windows", there isn't a tab bar showing on that window.

Program is Studio Logix Designer by Rockwell Automation. Older versions of the software (v30 and below) do group properly, but v31 and up do not. In v31, they changed their UI to be something more akin to Visual Studio. I think they actually did some sort of wrapper either on top of VS, or used a VS wrapper on top of their program. Not really sure. I don't know if that is related, but what I am seeing seems to imply that.

Windows 10 version 20H2 (build 19042.685)

Groupy version 1.46

v30 ungrouped

v30 grouped

There are a couple of rules for grouping windows.

1) The window must appear on the taskbar and not have toolwindow style
2) The window must not be owned by another window

I suspect whatever custom look they used for that has broken one of those rules which is why Groupy will not group it.

The rules exist to prevent incorrect grouping of windows which should not be grouped like child dialogs or splash screens.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a trial available for us to check which rule is broken and if we could workaround it.

Definitely shows in toolbar.

How would I check the others for you.

I know you can install for up to 7 days without a license, but typically the downloader is hidden behind a registration page.
