Groupy not working

Hi

Groupy worked all the time and I have become quite dependant on it

It stopped working last week and no matter what I tried it would not work

I followed all the posts I could find on the web

I have uninstalled and installed a few times

I then noticed today that my subscription was out of date so I renewed

Still after many attempts I cannot get it to work

BTW - Fences is running all the time without any problems

Please help.......

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version.
  2. Groupy version installed.
  3. When you said "Groupy not working", please explain more, how does it not working. Any error popup?
  4. Have you try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling? Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Hello, Thanks for replying

1) Windows v 1909 (OS Build 18363, 1198)

2) Groupy v 1.44

3) When I drag a window onto a window nothing happens

4) Yes I tried all the above step (purge, reinstall, reboot, reboot, reboot)

 

Additional Note : After lunch today

Strangely enough Chrome has started to group again, can't say why it just started doing it after I sent message sometime this morning. Now it works with other apps as well

As I said I tried all of this after step 4 above but nothing worked, Now it does

Maybe it was to do with my licence being expired

I spoke to soon

Here is what seems to be happening

I turned on the option to automatically group applications 

 

Problem is that is not grouping when I drag the window on top of a window - so if I turn off above option, groupy will not work

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

You have a lot of settings (changes) there.

Do the purge, test that it works, and just change that one setting to see if it still happens.

If it works, change one other setting at a time to see what one (if any now) have it fail.
