Multipicity says my product key is invalid

When activating multiplicity it says my product key is invalid so I had the key emailed to me in case I had it wrong. I copy/pasted it into multiplicity and got the same error message again.

Help me fix this.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try deactivate old activation first to try to reactivate new activation. Use this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#deactivateproduct .

Note : Secondary computer does not need to be activate. Please refer here : https://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/v3/manual/

Also which version of Multiplicity are you trying to activate and which version does the key say it is for?
