Extra space in Start menu

I have a new (to me) Dell XPS 13 9360 laptop, with a fresh install of Windows 10, version 2004. I installed Start 10, and it gives me excess space on both sides of the start menu. 


In addition, the normal Start button I replace the default with shows up very tiny. I had to expand the PNG to 250x normal size to get it to display properly.

The display resolution for this screen is 3200x1800.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
