Deskscapes not paused on battery when powering on

I have been using DeskScapes 10 on my desktop, and as expected, it works perfectly. Recently I got a new laptop and decided to install it on there. It works fine except with one major issue: even though DeskScapes 10 is set to pause in battery power, it only pauses with the laptop is already plugged in and then unplugged. In other words, if I start the laptop without it being plugged in, DeskScapes will continue to run even though the laptop is on battery power.

Is this a known issue with the current version of DeskScapes 10 or is there a workaround I can use (other than plugging in the laptop and then unplugging it to get it to pause)? Cheers.
