Groupy only works when group creation has no delay

At first I thought groupy was not working, but I eventually figured out that if I set to Instantly group windows it works. 

I did not test disabling various background processes.  I have several suspects, but my primary suspect is ManicTime tracker. 

Has anyone else had this problem?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have no issue with delay grouping. You can use the Cleanboot Steps to see which of your application causing the issue : https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#cleanboot
